In August 2024, Jiangsu Wanshida Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully delivered and commissioned a Y83-125 Hydraulic Metal Baler for a large scrap processing center in the Philippines. The customer operates a recycling facility that collects and processes various scrap materials, including steel, aluminum, and light metal profiles from local factories and construction sites. Their primary goal was to improve recycling efficiency, reduce manual handling, and create compact, easy-to-transport metal bales for smelting.

After a detailed technical discussion and site evaluation, our engineers recommended the Y83-125 model for its compact structure, stable performance, and cost-effectiveness. The machine is equipped with a feeding box size of 1000×700×600 mm and a bale size of 300×300 mm, with a nominal pressure of 1250 kN. Powered by an 18.5 kW motor, the equipment achieves a working capacity of 1.5–2 tons per hour under normal conditions. It is ideal for medium-sized recycling plants handling both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.

The hydraulic system adopts high-quality sealing and imported valves, ensuring long service life and smooth operation even under continuous working conditions. The PLC automatic control system enables the operator to run the machine easily and safely, with manual and automatic operation modes available. The hydraulic chamber and compression mechanism are made from high-strength steel plates to ensure durability and consistent performance.

During installation, Wanshida’s technical team provided detailed guidance both online and on-site, including system testing, safety training, and daily maintenance instruction. The customer’s team quickly mastered the operating procedures, and the first batch of compact 300×300 mm bales was successfully produced on the same day of commissioning.

Since being put into use, the machine has been running continuously and efficiently. The customer reported that the Y83-125 model significantly reduced their labor intensity and improved material stacking and transport efficiency. The bales produced are uniform, high in density, and perfectly suitable for furnace feeding. The energy consumption is low, and the operation remains stable without leakage or pressure loss.
